Comprehensive Curriculum
"The District shall align curriculum to state standards.
Concentrated efforts shall be made to accelerate student learning.
Highest priority shall be placed on reading as the key curriculum
skill. Methods of instruction shall be sufficiently diversified
to meet the learning needs of students of varying ability. In
core areas differentiated (clustering) grouping shall be implemented."
Citizenship
"The District shall encourage common attitudes of respect
for self, others, property, the educational process, and of the
responsibilities of citizenship."
Student Support
"The District shall encourage parent and community involvement
in support of student needs. The District shall provide specific
and focused strategies to enable every student to access the
comprehensive curriculum."
Fiscal Needs
"The District shall seek to maximize enrollment and attendance
rates. The District shall develop one or more sustainable sources
of funding outside of state and federal monies. Wherever possible,
the District shall explore cost containment alternatives for
providing services."
